Time to read: 3 minutes (because of plenty pictures!)
One last time. Campus pictures of where you will need to be today.
Make sure that you know where you are going today. We have a schedule. You won’t want to miss anything because you can’t find your classmates or the reunion event you need to attend.
Start with the map
There is an official Alumnui Luau 2024 map that gives great specifics regarding:
- Photo locations,
- Tent sites/purposes,
- Wrist band distribution site,
- Restrooms,
- Buff ‘n Blue Store (Punahou logo wear), and
- the Shuttle Tent.
NOTE RE GUEST WRIST BANDS. Hat tip to Catherine Tompkison for the information. “You will get your wristband when you arrive for your class picture at Dillingham. Your guest’s wristband will stay in the envelope. Your guests will need to go to the information tent on Lower Field [see map] and ask for (classmate’s name) tickets. You must wear the wristband to enter the tent and sit at a table.” — My addition: Make sure your guest knows this. Your guest will not be able to go into the Luau tent to look for you. Also, cell service is noticeably slow because of the large number of people on campus. Know before you go.
Check the map if you have specific questions. This blog post is about pictures of where you need to go. The map is about what you need to accomplish.
Where you need to be
I am thinking (not 100% sure) that we might be actually served for the first time this year. I remember volunteering as a junior for luau and doing the serving. It was a lot of fun. It will be even more fun for us because we won’t have to stand in line for our food! Being served is part of the honor of being the 50th reunion class. After that, being served is because you are just old!!
Last resort
Hope this helps! If all else fails there will be plenty of people on campus today–staff, alumni, students–who can easily point you in the right direction. Yes, we will be there super early but there are a super number of people at work today. So just ask! It’s a friendly day. Everyone is happy to help.
