Time to read: 3 minutes.
After Friday night’s awesome party, I am relieved that we get the morning off. I need to get ready for our big reunion moment! You too!

1:30 A.M.: Campus open to P74 arrival.
Enter through the Upper Manoa Punahou Street entrance near the tennis courts. If you registered for the Luau, you were snail mailed a parking pass. Show it to the attendant who will direct you to the appropriate lot. Display your pass on the dashboard. Pass is good only through 5:30 P.M. after which lots will be open to all alumni. Note: pass has no in and out privileges.
If you have one, show your handicap packard. A shuttle stop at the Sullivan Administration Building will be available.

Reunion Hot Tip: Get your Jams World attire on today! It’s our “uniform” for when we enter the Luau tent at 5:15 P.M.. Your are also encouraged to wear a hat.
Reunion Hot Tip #2: The families of many of our deceased classmates will be attending the 3 P.M. Memorial Service. Please “aloha” them. From my personal experience gained through writing this blog, the families are especially comforted to know that their family member, who is also a member of our Punahou74 family, was cherished by their loved one’s youthful companions.
CALLING ALL REUNION PHOTOGRAPHERS: Send your favorite reunion pic and it may be featured here as one of the best pics of the previous day! Send your pic to punahou74reunion@gmail.com to enter.
So what’d you think of Friday’s events?
Waikiki and Waialae, that’s where the action was.
- GENKI BALL TOSS: It took more than a baseball team! With thirty-two classmates and eight guests there were plenty of arms to get the approximately 900 genki balls into the Ala Wai Canal.
- CLASS OF ’49 NEXUS: I’ve written earlier about my interactions with the 75th reunion class. I accompanied my Punahou49 father to his luncheon on Friday. It was held at Waialae Country Club, the site of our Friday party. Seeing the club’s daily event listing reminded me that our two classes also shared the Oahu Country Club in 1999. That’s where we respectively celebrated our 50th and 25th reunions. I spoke with Betsy Abts’ parents and Shari Moore Fink’s father at the luncheon. Because Coach Dave Eldredge was a Punahou49, Mrs. Eldredge was there too! Had a great talk with her.
- FRIDAY EVENING AT WAIALAE WITH FRIENDS: Not a great pic but it’s all I have for now. Send me more!
