REUNION HOT TIP: The Friday Evening at Waialae with Friends will be plenty friendly but not if you do not meet the dress code of the Waialae Country Club. Get through the door by coming dressed to show what a classy class we are! Hawaii dress code is NOT all shorts all the time.
REUNION HOT TIP #2: The Punahou74 Reunion Exhibit will be on display during Friday Evening at Waialae with Friends. Last chance to see it before it’s gone!
CALLING ALL REUNION PHOTOGRAPHERS: Send your favorite reunion pic and it may be featured here as one of the best pics of the previous day! Send your pic to punahou74reunion@gmail.com to enter.
We have been busy!
I appreciate the pictures that have been shared with me because that means that I have pictures to share with you! Here’s some of what I received yesterday:
- WEDNESDAY MEET & EAT: (L-R) Leslie Ching Allen, Gigi Dennis Ewing, Cynthia Fite, Marcia Barrett Wright, Shari Moore Fink, Tucker Dacey and Linda De Silva Howe enjoy a dinner at Haleiwa Joes in Kaneohe.
- MANOA CLIFF TRAIL GUIDED HIKE: Hikers take a quick break while on the trail. They gathered at Suzanne Case’s home for a quick bite afterwards.
- ALUMNI CHAPEL: Mike Green was among those singing with the Alumni Glee Club during the service. You might say that he was an “outstanding” member of the choir, LOL!
- KINDERGARTEN REUNION: Attendees identify Billy Richardson in one of two large photos that were on display during the gathering. All were celebrating the 63rd anniversary of their kindergarten year.
- REUNION CHECK PRESENTATION: Tom Farrell points to the fantastic results for Punahou74’s 50th reunion gift to Punahou School.
- ALUMNI CELEBRATION: Classmates gather in front of Cooke Hall while enjoying food and friends.

Reunion gift status
Want to know about our reunion gift and how it stacks up against the other reunion classes? Sure, any gift counts, but we want our gifts to count for more! Take a look at the photo below for the standings as of June 6, 2024:

Things to note:
- Punahou74’s gift total is second only to Punahou64’s amazing gift. Per a Punahou64 class member I consulted, much of this is attributable to one extremely generous classmate. But we have plenty of generous classmates …
- Punahou74’s participation leads the pack at 40%–16% above the 24% reunion class participation average. Not the 50% we had hoped for but there’s still time to get that number up! Good to know that so many of you have already answered the call to donate.
But you know why we did so well
Why? Because …
