All I can say to those of you who weren’t there is, “Sorry you missed it!”
The group was small but the enthusiasm never waned at the August 6, 2010 mini reunion of the Punahou Class of 1974 (plus one from ’76, Gaye Miyasaki’s sister, Nora.)
The Gordon Biersch venue proved especially welcoming. With seating out on the lanai one became part of the sultry Hawaiian night. We were dining under the stars well within view of the ships and boats as they came into Honolulu Harbor. Best yet, Tom Henke had reserved us a table aside the stage in prime position to watch the tenth anniversary show of Hawaii’s “hottest” R & B band, Eight O Eight. Found out that Tom is a big fan of the band and has seen them at many venues.
In attendance were Pick Bye (and wife), Tom Henke, Tom Farrell, Barbara Swig, Renee Ahuna Cabrinha, Alvin Cabrinha, Gaye Miyasaki, and Lynne Gartley Meyer. The night was made even more special with the celebration of Tom’s birthday and Renee and Alvin’s 33rd wedding anniversary. Gaye had brought a rainbow chiffon cake (delish!) that put a sweet ending to the evening.

Hope to see you at the next mini reunion!
