Took a little time but the video is now prepared. Watch it to get a feel for Punahou Carnival 2011 or, better yet, for a look at what went on at the Punahou74 shift at Ewa Malasadas.

Don’t want to watch the video? Click here to look at the pictures and videos that went in to it, and many others besides.

Hope you enjoy this effort to bring a little more variety to the class blog. Thanks again to all who volunteered to make this class effort truly a great event. Thanks also to Babs, Lisa, and Nancy who clarified my aging mind by helping match some names to pictures.

See you again next year. “Let’s Fill the Tent!”

It’s Sunday morning and I am sitting here drinking a cup of coffee in Glenview, Illinois, with a big smile on my face because I just got this beautiful little snippet of the wonderful carnival and a chance to see my old classmates! That was just great–thank you Lynn! Wish I could have been there with you all.

And it’s a sunny Sunday morning here in Piedmont, California, though snowflakes fell two days ago and birdbaths froze overnight. I’ve got my cup of coffee and dreams of my recent time in Hawaii, certainly evoked by each and every scene and sound of this priceless “documentary short”… Academy awards, anyone?
I like to see that in addition to having fun when we’re together, our class is keeping up with the times, blogging and sharing images such as these – YES! (Though there is nothing quite like just being together.) I’m so grateful to have ended up at a huge school on a tiny island at age 15, surrounded by such wonderful young people. And may I say we’re aging beautifully?
Nancy, Lynne, Babs and Lisa – thank you for being such great organizers and for always having such aloha spirit

I might have to make a trip next year just to get one of those great hats! Looks like a fun weekend, thanks for putting together the video.
